I bought myself a Ouija Board. I have so far used it twice. The first time the board was just getting familiar with the workings, basically the pointer moved on its own accord kind of back and forwards, up and down, as if it was getting used to the board.
Today I received an actual message. I felt really quite exited about it. It is fascinating to think I can have a chat with someone, dead or alive, thousands of miles away on the blink of an eye, and it actually works. I wished I could check it out to assess the correctness of my conversation.
Does anyone else use the ouija board? Which experiences do you have?

Use the same precautions with the ouija board that you would if you were casting a spell. In a protective circle, completely focused, grounded and centered. Take what is reported to you with this device with a grain of salt. They are not always truthful and will take advantage of a weak mind and will.

I think my uncle Gilbert wanted to pass a message on concerning a wife and child he left behind through his sudden, untimely death.
The question is should you attempt to brind peace to a tormented sould, who probably has not left this earth yet? If yes, how do you do it?

A difficult question... I have found that it usually takes a little while for any of the departed to cross over, but if they feel they have left a job unfinished or just weren't ready to die yet , that they have ways of working it out for themselves. Some times they choose to use those of us who can hear and are willing to get their messages across and get things done. Most of the time they ar ewatching over us and trying to make sure that things go right.
So I say listen, and do what you can. But understand that they are more capable than you or they may realise. Help through the transition period by letting them know that they are not forgotten but it's ok and they can move to the next plane. Maybe they will come back again, you never know. But the more you hold on to the pain of their passing the longer it will take them to find peace.

JUST TRY AND CONNECT WITH YOUR UNCLE AGAIN AND ASK WHAT HE WANTS FROM YOU. THEN YOU KNOW AND YOU CAN GO FROM THERE. JUST MAKE SURE IT IS WHO YOU THINK IT IS.

I think my uncle just released an emotion of care and compassion into the air, which is carried around by the Sahara wind. He lived in Algeria. Those emotions die away naturally.
However, I sometimes get very, very, very hot, which means it could be a spirit who wishes to make contact. I probably should offer a prayer for restless spirits to find their peace, or even walk into the light to find eternal peace.

Possibly. I do this ouija board as an experiment, to truly observe what happens. The pointer moved on its own accord. It spelled out a name. Once you add feelings, emotions, interpretation, you transgress from plain observation. Fact are the first 2 happenings. For the rest I might well have added my own thoughts, feelings etc. which could be correct, but also incorrect. Did I get a message or did I phantasize? I do not know.

conscious mind crap is ALWAYS a problem when trying to perform any divination, of any type. Unless you can get verifiable evidence to the contrary then you have to take it with a grain of salt. This is why when I do divinations for others I get some "in the past" info first. That way I know that I'm on the right track.

I'm kind of on the fence about the Ouija board myself, as I got several false "answers" as a teen about such things as who I would marry, how many children I'd have, etc. I currently use it in the manner expressed by April - in a protective circle, centered and grounded - to get a little more feedback about something the Tarot has indicated, but still always take any answers as "they'll be right when proven to be right". 
As to connecting with those who have crossed over, I have found it a good test to ask something only the two of you would know - like when I had an entity claiming to be my departed cousin who couldn't come up with the private nickname he and I had for his father. If there is an entity claiming to be your uncle, ask something only he would know before you accept anything the entity tells you...
