The second of the harvest festivals is coming really soon.

Sept. 20-21 ( the equinox)is Mabon.

I GUESS I WILL PUT OUT MY FALL DECORATIONS SINCE IT'S ALSO THE BEGINNING OF AUTUM.

Well, I don't realy have any materials to speek of. My money is only enought to food for me and my dog. But I guese I'll spend some time meditating in the forest. Listen to the trees. Look at all the beutiful colors. Play some some with my dog. Maybe take a meal out on a field Having o good time.

Probably the same here. Just doing the things that I do every day, and spending just a little more time outside to really let the change sink in.

FALL EQUINOX / MABON

(around September 22nd)


During the Equinox, the sun passes our planet's equator, making night and day of almost equal length all over the world.


Mabon is a Thanksgiving, a time to appreciate and give thanks to the Goddess for her bounty and to share in the joys of the harvest. Mabon is ruled by the Wine Moon and marks the completion of the fruit harvest. The grains of Summer are now dry and ready to be stored. The fruit, herbs, and vegetables we do not eat now, we preserve for later use during the Winter.

i dont mean to be rude but are you a witch or not?

you talk about not having anything yet in the same breath talk about going to the forest ??????

for the goddesses sake grab some fall leaves grab some vines make a wreath make a colage of leaves stuck to old cardboard using flour paste

grab vines and leaves make a head dress or what ever your mind can think of

find acorns or what ever you can of wild fruits or veggies that may be left not rotted yet make a meal

make acorn bread ( boil the acorns to remove the bitterness before you dry them out to turn in to a acorn meal type flour )

you dont need money our ancestors were dirt poor living on someone elses land and farming it for their lords

all you ever need is the only tool any witch needs your mind and the imagination contained there in
