Okay guys I am back yet again with another problem. I ride a scooter all over town since we cannot afford a car. Well I have been riding this scooter for over a year with no problem. It has no tags and I have no mopeds license but was told by a police officer that as long as the bike was under 50 cc that it was okay. Tonight I wanted to go to the store and kept debating on what to do etc and finally decided to go. As I was leaving my inner voice said no dont but I kept on going. I wasn't five minutes from my home when I was pulled over by the cops who then told me I was violating all kinds of vehicle laws for not having a moped license and no goggles on under my helmet and no tags. I honestly did not know that you needed them for 50 cc and under. Long story short was that he gave me over 500.00 in citations and told me to be calm because he would speak up for me in court etc and that the fines probably wouldnt be to heavy and would be dropped. He did say that if I couldn't pay whatever the fines were in court that I could go to jail. Okay, I have never had a ticket etc my whole life. I am worried because of the money issue. I say this is karma because I purposely left to avoid a neighbor asking me to babysit which she does quite often and while I dont mind usually I just didn't feel like it tonight but didnt want to hurt her feelings. I feel that if I had been honest with her instead of running that this wouldnt have happened. Do you all think I should do something for court or just pray on it and leave it alone. I am asking because I dont feel my heart is in the right place for a good outcome because I am angry etc... So I am worried and I know that's not good either. Please advise.

Sorry I don't buy into karma; it's a load or new age rubbish and bullshit to me.

There is no karma and very thing we do here in this plane or realm only works according to cause = effect and input = output.
There is no Sin. Those things are built in Guilt devices to use to control masses of people. How? In the Xian world, there is a verse that says (paraphrased) : "If a man thinks sin in his heart, he has already committed it".
Sorry but that's just a way of controlling through guilt.

ROMANA, okay I see your point but I still want some advice as to what you think I should do to handle this. I have started to trust yours and Aprils opinions on certain matters since I have seen that you both are very enlightened and so.... Do you think I should just let this play out and pray about it or do you think I should add a little something to the pot by doing a working for it?
Secondly what is XIAN ? I have never heard of it but it sounds interesting? While I dont totally believe in all things I hear about Karma I do believe in reincarnation and that energy never dies and since it never dies I think that some things we do resonate around the universe a little longer than others and therefore may carry over into the next life. I dont look at is a a punishment so much as a reaction to my actions either recently or previously, basically I guess it is the same thing you kind of said like cause and effect. Whatever the case I dont mean to sound like a mindless idiot who doesn't know her own mind about whether or not I should do a working but in this instance I dont know whether it would heal or harm and that in its self may be a bad idea. I guess what I am saying is that do you think the issue is big enough to do a working about or should I just leave it be and please dont forget to tell me about Xian? have a good night. See you soon.

First... It never hurts to put a little something extra in the pot. The same kinds of things that you did not long ago should help again. Back it up with a little foot work, like checking what the laws acctualy are with mopeds. you may be either breaking more than you realize or... The cop could have been having a really bad day and just looking for a percieved reason to pick on someone. Ya never know and it's always good to check for yourself.

Second... "Xian" is another way to say "Christian". I can tell you from experience I didn't find it fun.

Like I said before, the karma stuff I don't believe in, that goes double for the 3 fold law. But that's just my 2 cents worth....I am, however, a strong believer that our souls never die and some will come back to continue their journey until they reach that point.

Thanks Ladies, I have been to the commissioner and the great news is that she told me I will most likely get off with a PBJ, because the judge knows that many Marylanders dont officially know the laws for moped use being that they are very shady and change quite often so that is on my side. I always do this, when something happens unexpectedly (like every day I worry for a minute then get on with it and it always turns out okay. Its so funny because most of my young adult life I completely believed in the teachings of my mentors and people I gelled with and it always worked out great but after my life took a bad turn it seems I am having a little trouble getting my mojo back but with a little practice and some help from my new found friends ( you two) and some old fashioned love and faith, I should be back in the saddle again in no time. Thanks again and dont worry about the christian thing. We all have our own beliefs. Its one of the beautiful things that keep the world going round.
