What I use for protection is a Hematite crystal which is a protective crystal and i wear it around my neck. Which i believe protects me in whatever i do. I dont know if anyone else uses that, but i do.

In order to cleanse an area, like a circle, you will need to sweep the area in 3 layers, floor, waist, head. This will cover you from above, below and on either side of you. You can use a broom, your hands{my favorite}, or even a small handheld fan. All you are doing is cleaning the area of the circle. Sweep it out and get rid of negative energy.
