Wow! it's gotten really quiet around here. Well in the interest of starting a dialog back up and learning a little more about each other I have a scenario question for you all.
Say that in crusing around the web you found a group that, at first blush, appeared to want to put and end to the practice of witchcraft. But on further investigation you found out that it was all intended as satire. Just another attempt to change minds and open eyes. What would you do?

I guess nothing.....If they want to make fun of themselves. more power to them. If one can't laugh at oneself first then it is a sad world.
I have noticed that it is kinda quiet here....Maybe everybody is in hibernation...lol. Hopefully it will get a little more lively soon.

I sent my soul through the invisible, some letter of that after-life to spell, and by and by my soul returned to me, and answered "I Myself am Heav'n and Hell."

I have been a moderator and administrator on a Homesteadeing sight for about 9 years now, and it has taught me you will never know a person on the internet for who they really are, many hide behind the screen, some seem nice but will stab you in the back at the drop of a hat, some act mean but are in real life very nice people, and sometimes you think you might as well bury the forum because nobody is posting anything, next thing you now everyone is posting and it takes you hours to read all of them, hard to second guess people in this day and time, me well i just go with the flow anymore, Allen.

Takes less time to do it right than to do it over.

I enjoy satire. However, it can scare me. I've seen too many who perceive the satire as reality and read it as "gospel". I've also listened to those who over analyze satire and ruin it for themselves and everyone around them. I guess it depends on the audience. Unfortunately (or fortunately, point of view and all) we cannot control the internet audience.
I work in a profession that takes itself entirely too seriously. Imagine my surprise when I found a website by architects poking fun at architects.
Enjoy.

(Yes, this is satire!)

SNORT!!!
That was funny. A good example of people poking fun at themselves like only insiders can.

If I thought their efforts would be effective, I would post links as I go to help the work along.
Sorry I've been away for a while - my elderly mother slipped on the ice and broke a few bones, so we've all been spending time away from home to help out and not had the usual luxury of frequent web access.
