Well, as much as I agree with the most. You still don't get my point. And I was absolutely not pointing out immigration or politics, that was an example and the point was how the people react on that example.

I'm not really sure I get it though. I not sure I can fully understand you, cause so many things don't adds up for me. I'm sorry, but you don't seem to really add what I'm saying either. I guess we are to different in our personalities.

Desmond, I don't know what to say....Maybe it is the age difference in us, or whatever....You just have to realize that we have our own opinions about things and you have yours. That is not a bad thing because it would be a narrow minded world if we all agree all the time.

Forgive me for lurking, but a couple of questions have come to mind. Desmond . . .

Do you want us to agree with you?

Do you want us merely to understand you?

Do you want us to disagree with you, but continue to accept you?

Are you trying to convince us that you are right and that we are wrong?

Is it acceptable to agree to disagree or is an on-going heated discussion the goal?

This has been thought provoking. However, I do not feel that my personal beliefs have been altered (fiction that they may or may not be).

Ok so let's try to settle what we agree on and what we don't.

Even though you aren't seeming to understand it. We both agree that "faith - the belief in things unseen and unproved or unproveable" is important.

We seem to disagree that study, research ( finding information ect), practice ( skills like meditation and thought/emotion control), and a degree of scepticism is important.

I'm not sure why they keep being equated with one another though. Other than sometimes things that you have faith in can sometimes become something proven, through study and research.

I know you don't post in that often but when you do it seems to have a piece of wisdom or way of looking at things that I just couldn't get across. It's apprieciated.

So as I've said before.... I get little pieces of different information in my inbox every so often.

I received another interesting tidbit this week and i almost blew it off, so often the program it was on is just an hour long infomercial for yet another new age business model ( make money off your attempt to becoem an enlightened individual! Or pay us money to find out where we think we are!)but....

The more I listened to this the more I realized that this might help in this particular conversation. Like I said it is an hour long. You can pause it, rewind it, whatever you need. But it mat only be up for a limited time, so don't wait if you are interested. This man talks about the relation of science and faith. How science is proving things that were thought to be superstition before, and a couple of other topics. I'm gonna be listening again latter tonight I think. Here's the link
