TOOLS FOR POWER


I have noticed that a lot of you are new to the Arts of Magic and you crave power. Many of us more experienced tend to criticize your reasons for wanting power and in truth we have not walked a mile in your shoes yet we judge you. (Remember that lesson because it will come up one day for you as well!) That said and also stepped on some toes.....here are my 2 cents worth

1. People want power for all sorts of reasons and thus they seek to become powerful in business, politics, clubs, religious organizations , families etc. So ask yourself this: "WHY Do I want to be powerful?" Don't just blab the answer out but rather spend some time and brain power thinking about what it is you really want.
When I got involved in the arts of Magic, I wanted to make my life better and get plenty of the good things in life that I was unable to get due to my personal situation. That does not work, however, as we see or wish it. The universe and the spirits have their own opinion on what we need, not want.
IF you wish to better your life, then Magic can help you. However realize that the majority of so-called practitioners out there do not physically practice Magic for Spirits-Know- Why reasons. That is why you have a leg up on the competition. If you're in sales, you can learn to use Magic to bring customers to you; if you're a supervisor, you can learn to use Magic to help you make better decisions; if you're a student, you can learn to invoke specific Spirits who can help you study & retain knowledge better; and so on.
Magic can and should enhance and complement your life not complicate it. If you find your Magical leanings are causing your life to be more complicated, then you're doing something wrong. Your life should be running smoother and less stressed if you have real power.
So, how do you get real power? In several ways.....

1. Get a bonafide Initiation - this can be from a real Witch or Wiccans (stay clear of the McWiccans though as they'll do little more than waste your time & beg you to take sides in their petty politics!) or possibly from one of the many African Traditional Religious groups. It's important that the group you elect to join is real and have real power.

2. Research, Study & Practice - This is the chosen method of 99.9% of so-called practitioners out there. I say 'so called' because most are just book collectors and readers - in other words they do not practice anything. You on the other hand want to touch real power and to do that you need to take the road slow and be cautious but not overly so. Choose your path carefully and your study materials wisely.
Learn and grow. Meditate and ask for wisdom. Seek and you will find all that is hidden from your sight. But question the knowledge and seek wisdom in it. Be open minded because you may find the wisdom and answers you seek in the most obscure places.


Finally know your limitations! Too many think because they have an initiation or a huge library of books that this in itself makes them competent to handle any situation. Wrong. If a problem is beyond your capability, seek someone wiser and more knowledgeable than you. If you have to pay them, okay ask your Spirits (Ancestors) to help you get the funds.

Think of that situation like a home-handyman type of person vs an electrician, plumber or auto-mechanic. Sure a handyman sorta can do a wide variety of simple things but when it comes to the complex projects, he's smart and wise enough to know that some things will take a much wiser and more skilled individual to deal with.
Do NOT be like the hard headed jackass who thinks because s/he has a tool kit that there's nothing s/he can't handle. Just because YOU have all the props does not mean you can handle everything!!

Well folks, this concludes my sermon for today and I hope that it gave some of you some food for thought since it tapped into several issues in the forums.
