An elaborate setup would include picking the cards whose influence you need to mold your desire into reality and then lay them out in your chosen spread so that they portray the future you are seeking. Raise your cone of power and invoke whatever powers or entities aid you in your work to view the future you are seeking and request their aid in creating it. If at all possible, leave the cards in this configuration until you see the results forming in the world around you.

If you must continue using your cards before the results of the spell have been realized, then take the time to draw the spread out on a new sheet of paper or parchment. Imbue the talisman you are making with your aura as you take the time required to sketch and color the card images. While this in itself may take you some time, remember that shoddy or shortcut work will return to you the same quality of results. Once your talisman is made, attach it to the wall above your alter so that the future you have portrayed in the image will continue to influence and be influenced by your subsequent work. Then remove your cards and return them to your deck.

On a lesser scale, one can use the symbology of the tarot to strengthen aspects of their character in a day-to-day environment. Placing one of your tarot cards whose symbolism you are seeking to absorb in a prominent place within your working or living space can aid in keeping you focused on its study. If you work in a public environment where this is difficult, create the card in miniature, drawing and coloring till you have made a viable representation. Then fold it into a locket you can wear or attach it to the back of a brooch or, if you work the service industry, on the back of your nametag. Once invoked, you can now carry the symbol around with you and draw strength and enlightenment from it wherever you may be.

The Tarot is a versatile tool in seeking hints of your future. It is also a powerful tool of self-enlightenment. The Tarot is not the actual pieces of paper that the cards are printed on but the archetypic symbolism they portray. Learning to incorporate this imagery into your magic spells can give you an extra boost as you work your way to a better future.
