One of the most important elements in the accomplishment of creating our desires is the ability of our minds to visualize what we wish to enter into reality. Visualization is a key to focusing our energies towards a specific set goal or acquisition. If you are not able to strongly picture within your mind what you are seeking it is unlikely that your efforts will find it.
While visualization is essential to magic working and the success of your spells, it is equally valued and understood within the thinking of the mundane world. The renowned psychologist William James, considered the founder of his field, stated:
"There is a law in psychology that if you form a picture in your mind of what you would like to be, and you keep and hold that picture there long enough, you will soon become exactly as you have been thinking."
In the same way as people use this concept to strive for achievement in the business world, the magic practitioner must also learn how to train their subconscious mind. Whether witch or worker, the power to see yourself as more healthy, more successful or more attuned towards what you wish to be is a key component of realizing that ambition.
For successful visualization one must always picture the desire in the present tense. Form the image in your mind that you already have the object of your desire, not 'I would like this to happen someday'. The psychic and subconscious energies released through visualization are often very literal. Thinking of yourself beyond the threshold of attainment will leave no room for your current situation to linger.
Visualize in detail and color your images of desire as thoroughly as you can. You should not, however, make your visualization too literal. If you are wishing for a vehicle you should not be so focused on having just a red one. The universal powers that enable such things often respond with what you need more than what you want and may have felt that what you really needed was a blue vehicle. By refusing this option you may negate the fruition of your desire. Seek to fill your visualization image with the emotions surrounding having your desire. Focus on how the completion of this desire will affect you and the world around you.
Always seek to create your visualization image in ways that will benefit not just yourself but those around you as well. Seek within your desires to better the world in general. This is a critical mistake many make who seek love and affection through Witchcraft or magic. Focus on the feelings of having found someone who will complete your life and that you in turn are exactly what they also need for a perfect union. So often these spells are directed not at the universe to provide the right one but are centered on a specific person who may have totally different ideas of what is right for them.
While it is important to maintain your visualization as often and frequently as you can till the desire has reached its conclusion, you should avoid constantly checking and measuring the level of effect. If you keep searching for the results you can often negate them as they are forming. In a sense this is a form of worry that the desire is not being met. Worry is the opposite of Faith and a prime destroyer of your self-confidence.
Your visualization should be made in a relaxed state of mind. While you will need to muster all the emotional energy charge possible to launch this desire in the actual performance of a spell, the meditation on forming the exact image of your visualization should be as free of interference as you can make it. With a well-constructed visualization coupled with the unswerving belief that it has already happened you can truly use the power of the universe to fulfil your wildest dreams.
